About Mister Moodi

Mister Moodi is a New York City-based artist who uses a vibrant, tactile mix of acrylics and unconventional materials like clay, glitter and metal to create thought-provoking and playful pieces. His avant-garde style explores the frictions of identity in a world that demands conformity and pleasantry.

Since 2015, Mister Moodi has explored many methods of creating art, though now he primarily paints mixed media portraits of his original character, the “Moodi Monster”. Born from his own struggles with mental health, this character highlights the often unspoken parts of the human experience, parts that we are taught to hide. Along his journey he realized that his work was not only helpful for his own mental health, but also sparked joy, thought and conversation in others. He began sharing his work through various art gatherings and galleries. He hopes to continue eliciting raw emotion from viewers, encouraging them to be their authentic selves.
